The legend of two buffalo. The sky is clear of any clouds,the sun was shineing brightly in the sky. The old man could feel the heat of the sun on his head,there was a gentle breeze on this beautiful day.The old man was standing on the edge of the field, the field was huge and the grass was gentley moving with the breeze. The was a stand of spruse trees off the edge of the field. As the old man came across the field, his attention was cought by something far away. He was not certin what it at first, he put his hand over his eyes to see better. As he did so, he realized that he was looking at two buffalo. On was sitting down, the other was standing up. The old man moved closer to see the buffalo because they were a rare sight. As he moved in closer, there was a sudden desturbance in the field. The buffalo suddenly put their heads high in the air to see what it was. When they saw the old man, the buffalo that was sitting down, suddenly ran into a stand of spruse trees to hide. You could see the trees were shakeing where the buffalo was standing. The other buffalo did not run but stood there. The old man went up to him and asked him, "Why did the other one run away?" The buffalo answered, "He ran away because he doesn't know what else to do. Every time he faces a problem, he runs away." The old man asked the buffalo,"Why didn't you run away?" The buffalo answered, "I know who I am, I am a buffalo.Long, ago your people and my people lived together." The old man thought about what the buffalo said. Which of the buffalo are you most like?
